For the project Send me a video, Alessandra invites people to send videos anonymously to her mobile phone, asking them to share secrets, worries, gossip, lies and truths. She advertises for these videos, through paid and free services on social media and local classified ads, as well as flyers distributed around varied locations. Alessandra has been curating the short videos into a series. Through editing these videos together, she has been working partly as a documentary maker but also forming fictional narratives, which are often different to those intended by the video makers. As the project continues, these narratives can develop or change with new content and different contextual settings in exhibition spaces and locations.
